RENU

Circular Economy – One of the key raw materials that we use for our I am sustainable collection is RENU – It was developed by ITOCHU Corporation, a leading textile business based in Tokyo Japan.

Approximately, the fashion industry produces 100 billion garments every year, and it is estimated that 92 million tonnes of those end up in landfills.

The idea behind RENU is to create a solution to massive textile waste. Unlike the most widely used recycled polyester, made from plastic bottles, RENU utilises textile waste such as unwanted clothes, leftover fabrics from production, etc. as raw materials. They are then transformed into beautiful, exceptional recycled polyester through chemical recycling.

RENU is all about empowering a circular economy – It is part of responsible manufacturing and an important step toward a more sustainable future.
